ABOUT ME

I often feel the most interesting things about me are my experiences, I also recognize it’s a privilege to be able to avoid noting one’s social identities and positionality. While I love to dance around and avoid being placed in boxes here are some words that help place me in context: white of primarily german and italian ancestry, US citizen at birth, third generation immigrant, native english speaker, midwesterner, queer, nonbinary, grey ace-bisexual, ethical non monogamous/relationship anarchist, fat, witch, kinky, chronically ill, able bodied, neurodivergent and mentally ill, post graduate educated, working class, leftist

I completed my MSW from the University of Michigan School of Social work in 2019 and began my career as a therapist in the spring of 2020. The majority of my professional experience has been in non-profit and private practice settings. I am also often involved in a community project or two. Currently, I am collaborating with A Place for Us to help establish an LGBTQ+ affirmed shelter in the Greater Lansing area.

Beyond work I love to play! Though you'll find that I invite play and creativity into the therapeutic space as well. I believe that play is made possible through a felt sense of safety and connection that we grow. Play can be an integral part of the growth process)! Whether it’s trying new recipes in the kitchen, getting my hands in the dirt at a local community farm, listening to audio books, taking Bramble (my dog) for a game of fetch at the park, messing about with different art and craft mediums, enjoying a board game with buddies, or falling down as I learn to rollerblade, I love to play! I’m also deeply passionate about loving and supporting my friends and partners.
